UFF-FSU at New Faculty Orientation 2025
Hundreds of faculty members responded to the 2013 UFF-FSU Faculty Poll. Preliminary tabulations are available at:
https://uff-fsu.org/art/FacPoll2013ResultsPostNC.pdf
An expanded edition of the of the report that includes faculty comments that help to clarify and elaborate upon the quantitative results can be found at:

More detailed results by college/unit and department/unit will be forthcoming for units for which the number of responses is enough to assure anonymity.
As the results of the poll suggest, while faculty are optimistic about the future, demonstrated in part by the positive evaluations of President Barron, current faculty are also largely concerned about being left behind in terms of salary and resources in light of the focus on future faculty hires and initiatives. As one respondent stated, “Ability to pay competitive salaries is key to maintaining a quality faculty.” Support for across-the-board raises and compression and inversion corrections is evident. Faculty also remain concerned about the effects of legislative cuts in retirement benefits and about protecting (and enhancing) current retirement and healthcare benefits.
Additionally, perceptions of the need for and importance of faculty participation in evaluation and merit evaluations and in faculty governance are strong.
A big thank you to all of you who took time from your busy schedules to respond to the poll. The results provide important input for our bargaining team, for consultations with University administrators, and for our efforts to represent FSU faculty members.
